Description :

This position will be responsible for reviewing all charges for outpatient services incurred on flagged Transplant accounts daily to ensure they meet organ account eligibility requirements.

Upon review the Charge Entry Specialist will release for billing and capture of charges for the MCR (Medicare Cost Report).

Department - Solid Organ Transplant Service Line

• They will review and submit charges that have been received for pre and post-transplant recipient / donor services.
• Submit charges via Epic for the non-Medicare pre-transplant charges and Medicare pre-transplant charges in addition to all donor-related charges pre and post donation (based on follow up period).
• Reviews daily charges for Transplant Service line and releases charges for billing and MCR.
• Contributes consistently to the development, implementation, and evaluation of departmental operations improvement.
• Develops and maintains professional relationships with all SHC Departments and External agencies.
• Reviewing hospital records and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of billing data
• Ensuring charges are billed in accordance with insurance and other regulations

Additional Skills & Qualifications :

Epic is a must have unless you have 5 years of related experience.

2-5 years of charge entry experience

EPIIC highly preferred
