TEKsystems is Hiring a Patient Access Representative Near Baltimore, MD
High volume calls to schedule patients, 80-100 per/day.
More back of the house, but will also be helping with front desk duties check in/out.
Confirming demographic & insurance information, obtaining & scanning documents, officially checking in patient using EMR.
Coordinating appointments with other departments.
Being back up to check-out coordinator.
Eventually answering & triage incoming phone calls.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Must have at least high school diploma
Must have at least 2 years of medical experience within patient access/patient scheduling/front desk/secretary or back office experience. If they only have front desk they need to have volume and be COMFORTABLE being on phones all day
EPIC Is STRONGLY PREFERRED
Must have great customer service skills
Must be comfortable working in a high volume DR office
Must be familiar with insurance/pre-auth process
