*Description:*
Our client is in need of a Cloud Architect/Manager to help them to build out their Azure strategy while supporting the remaining servers in their data center (apprx 150 windows servers running VMwware, using Cisco hyperconverged infrastructure). They are on a journey to eventually move everything to Azure over the next few years, so this person will be about 80% focused on new builds and configurations within Azure but will also be responsible for the on-prem server infrastructure along with the current data center engineer.
Our client has some of their cloud foundation built out, but have a long way to go to mature their environment and are getting consistent requests from the business for projects that would be best suited to leverage cloud technologies. They need someone who is expert level in Azure and can confidently weigh in on the best way to complete these projects, how to optimize cost, and how to approach the various use cases in ways that will set the organization up for long term success. They are evaluating partners to help with this journey as well, and this person will ultimately work alongside the selected partner to mature the cloud strategy for the organization.
They will also have a direct report and need to have experience leading other employees, at a bare minimum from a project organization/time management/technical oversight perspective, ideally from a performance management perspective as well.
From client: "The Cloud Engineer will contribute to implementing, managing and maintaining the Companys cloud environments, including Oracle Fusion Cloud, Microsoft 365 / Azure, and AWS footprints. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented with a strong understanding of and demonstrated experience architecting and implementing hybrid cloud environments, including SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, etc. They should also have experience designing and managing these environments for compliance and security requirements and leveraging automation in testing, deployment, and maintenance activities."

From client:
7 years of experience in IT Infrastructure design, management, and migration of technologies from on-prem to cloud environments
2. 7 years of experience designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure and systems in an AWS, Azure, or GCP environment
3. One or more certifications for AWS, Azure, or GCP developer, administration, solution architect, DevOps engineer, etc.
4. Experience in managing an Oracle Fusion Cloud environment
5. Team leader or small-team supervisory experience a plus
