*Description:*

Systems Engineer

Position Overview: The Systems Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of both in-house and off-site client information systems. This position involves monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing networked software and associated operating systems. The Systems Engineer will leverage their communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to identify, communicate, and resolve issues, maximizing the benefit of IT systems investments.

Responsibilities:

Monitor and maintain existing systems, ensuring their stability and integrity.

Deploy new applications and enhancements to existing software and operating systems.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute system migrations to Azure.

Assess current system architecture and identify areas for improvement.

Provide technical expertise in system design, implementation, and management.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly.

Stay informed about industry trends and best practices.

Qualifications:

Formal Education & Certification:

Eight years of Windows server administration experience in an Active Directory environment.

Microsoft MCITP:EA or MCSE certification required.

Azure certification and VMware VCP5-DX certification are essential.

Cisco CCNA certification is preferred.

Working knowledge of Cisco switches, routers, and IPS.

Proficient troubleshooting skills.

Familiarity with current software protocols (TCP/IP, FTP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS).

Experience with core software applications (Microsoft Windows 2003/2008/2012 Server and Internet Information Server).

Proficiency in network and PC operating systems (Microsoft Windows Vista, 7, and 8).
