We are seeking a skilled System Administrator to join our team on-site at a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF), responsible for managing infrastructure with in-depth knowledge of Department of Defense (DOD) requirements. The ideal candidate must possess strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt quickly to changing tasks and requirements. You should be adept at diagnosing and troubleshooting issues related to Virtual Infrastructure and will collaborate closely with the Cyber Security Team to implement and enforce DISA STIGs (Security Technical Implementation Guides) across all system devices. Key Responsibilities: • Manage and maintain the IT infrastructure within a SCIF environment, ensuring compliance with DOD regulations and security standards.
• Work closely with the Cyber Security Team to implement and enforce DISA STIGs and other security measures.
• Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and networking issues in a timely manner.
• Ensure systems operate securely and efficiently in a classified environment, maintaining Active Top Secret clearance eligibility.
• Implement and manage virtual machine (VM) technologies such as ESXi, vCenter, and vSphere.
• Administer Microsoft Operating Systems (Windows 11, Windows Server 2016/2019) and deploy software updates using tools like PowerShell and Windows Server Update Services (WSUS).
• Maintain and optimize Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Group Policy, and other Microsoft tools.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure effective server management and adherence to organizational policies.
• Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills to meet project deadlines and operational requirements. Qualifications: • At a minimum should have a bachelor’s degree of Computer Science or a related science in engineering or scientific field of study from an accredited college or university; equivalent experience will be considered.
• Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience, of which at least three (3) must be specialized experience including designing, implementing and/or administering medium to large information systems and/or networks.
• Active Top Secret eligibility upon hire is required, with the ability to maintain this clearance level throughout employment.
• DoD 8570 IAT II certification (CompTIA Security CE) or higher.
• DoD Computing Environment certification.
• Proven experience as a Systems Administrator, with expertise in managing IT infrastructure in a secure environment.
• Hands-on experience with patching and deploying software products using tools like PowerShell and WSUS.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Server Management, including Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Group Policy, and related technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to troubleshooting and issue resolution.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a classified environment.
