Job Description:
- This position will be responsible for designing all tooling for (SLS) hardware and ensuring that the processes for tool design are followed.
- Candidate will create tool designs working with the cognizant Manufacturing or Test Engineers.
- andidate must ensure processes and procedures comply with all applicable Environmental, Health and Safety requirements as well as all the applicable quality requirements.
- Must be able to review drawings and concepts and resolve producibility concerns.
- Must be able work well in an integrated product development/ design environment.
- Candidate must possess a positive attitude and be able communicate well with staff, IPD teams & management.
- Desired experience should include development of tooling for complex mechanical systems, and components such as, heat exchangers, pumps, fans, & accumulators.
- Looking for experience in 3D modeling and drafting of Mechanical Designs. Experience in PTC CREO preferred.
- Candidate should preferably have intermediate experience (2 years and up). In lieu of a Bachelor's Degree, candidate needs Associate's Degree with 3 years of experience or no degree with 8 years of experience.
- This job is considered a sensitive position in accordance with NASA Guidelines. The selected candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing per NASA's regulation subpart 1823.5 Drug-Free Workforce
