Position: Design EngineerLocation: Wichita, KS, 67215 Duration: 5 Months Job Type: Contract Work Type: OnsiteShift: 1st ShiftJob Description
- This role designs airframe structure for new programs, requiring an advanced knowledge of Catia V6 and Enovia, familiarity with airframe structure (sheet metal, extrusions, machining's, etc.), and appropriate communication/coordination skills to collaborate with support groups and drive designs through layout, routing, and release.
- A typical day is spent modeling concepts and finalized layouts in Catia V6 and creating required drawings, as well as populating part information in Enovia for route/release.
- Designers will be required to independently seek input from support groups and incorporating that feedback in order to progress and mature designs.
- Coordinate designs with support groups, gather feedback and steer team to acceptable design solutions
- Execute designs in Catia V6 and Enovia
- Solid Detail Modeling
- Assy/Instl Layouts
- Drafting – Details and Assys/Instls
- Enovia – BOM and Route/Release
- Engineering Bachelor's Degree
- Advanced Catia V6 knowledge – Sheet Metal, Part Design, Drafting
- Familiarity with client and Enovia
- Communication Skills – collaborate with team and support groups constantly
- Coordination Skills – independently incorporate feedback to progress and mature designs
