How will you make animpact
- The Eugene teamis looking for a Material Handler I to join their team.
- This position largely interacts with equivalent levels ofinternal personnel.
Whatwill you do
- Receivematerials and / or finished goods daily.
- Verifythe quality type and amount of materials received are correct andthat the appropriate documentation is present (e.g. packinglist).
- Examine sort arrange count store pickand pack items for storage and / or shipment by establishedprocedures and customer requirements.
- Prepareroutine documentation.
- Prepare and shipmaterials and / or finished goods on time according to customerrequirements.
- May perform other related dutiesas required and / or assigned.
How will you gethere
Education & RequiredSkills
- High schooldiploma or equivalent required.
- 2 years ofprior experience in material handling
- Goodcommunication and customer service skills.
- Functional knowledge of shipping receiving and inventorycontrol procedures.
- Demonstrated ability towork well with others in a team environment.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment andwillingness to crosstrain in multiple areas withinDistribution.
- Flexibility with recurring worksituations and tasks.
- Accuracy is required inperforming all functions of this position; errors in work couldcause delays in schedules.
- Follow warehousesafety standards and use of proper PPE (Personal ProtectiveEquipment).
- Strong computer skills includingfamiliarity with relevant software (Excel and Word) aplus.
- This position requires the individual tobe ready to start work on time daily and also may require overtimewhen demand fluctuates.
- Unplannedunapproved / missed time is required to be kept at aminimum.
WorkingConditions :
- Works in ateambased environment.
- Is required to lift upto 35 lbs.
- May be required to stand for longperiods while performing duties.
- Must be ableto work safely with chemicals and hazardous materials.
- Must be able to work outside of regular workhours.
- The above position will require you towork a flexible shift pattern.
