TELACU Construction Management is Hiring a Project Engineer Near Palo Alto, CA

Job DescriptionTELACU Construction Management is seeking a Project Engineer - Construction to join our team! You will assist in the construction of public works projects working with a Project Manager to plan, schedule, and implementation numerous projects. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in public works construction.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all aspects of construction project from planning to implementation
  • Allocate resources for assigned projects
  • Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors
  • Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients
  • Negotiate with contractors to receive reasonable order costs
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications
  • Takes meeting minutes
  • Tracks RFI's, Submittals, Change Orders, As-Builts, etc.
  • Strong field presence
  • Works with the site IOR for QA/QC checks
  • Understands plans and specifications
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • B.S. in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or similar
  • Previous experience in construction management or other related fields
  • Familiarity with construction management software
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Deadline and detail-oriented
