Job Summary :
With minimal supervision, this individual will be responsible for maintaining data using an MES (Manufacturing Execution System) and Office tools (Word & Excel). With on-the-job training, this job will effectively perform integration and testing of complex mechanical IR (infrared) products at multiple sub-assembly levels. This person must be able to work on a computer daily, read and understand SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), communicate issues effectively, and work with various types of small hand tools and microscopes.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Data collection using MES and Office (Excel), completes production/quality related documentation on computer.
• Using SOP's, assemble mechanical parts into sub-units or complete units.
• Understand and use vacuum pumps and gauges safely.
• Test using environmental chambers.
• Support manufacturing / engineering on continuous improvement tasks.
• Troubleshoot in-process failures as part of on-going continuous improvements.
• Perform work in accordance with quality and engineering standards.
• Keep work area clean and organized to present a professional work environment.
• Complete any other work-related tasks as directed by Supervisor.

Job Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 - 4 years of experience in a manufacturing / production environment strongly preferred.
• Solid computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel & Word) and Manufacturing Execution Systems.
• Experience and ability to understand SOP's and work instructions.
• Experience with data collection.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Team player, shows initiative.
• Good organizational skills.
• Able to work under pressure as requirements change based on demand.
