Position Summary
Perform calibration, maintenance, and repair on test and measurement equipment. Support Quality System compliance and EHS for Performance Fibers business (Coventry and Mansfield sites).
Principal Responsibilities
Calibration:
•Perform test and measurement equipment calibration, maintenance, and repairs.
•Assist in implementing the software to manage the calibration system.
•Management of test and measurement equipment inventory.
•Maintain compliance with calibration requirements outlined in ISO 13485:2016.
•Maintain calibration records.
•Coordinate calibrations performed by outside vendors and ensure calibrations performed by vendors are accurate.
•Ensure existing and new equipment has calibration requirements defined.
•Communicate calibration failures and assist in risk assessment and investigation needs.
•Assist with new test and measurement equipment introduction.
•Identify and support improvements to the site calibration system.
•Support internal and external audits as needed.
Maintenance:
•Work closely with the maintenance supervisor and facility manager to execute the organization's annual maintenance plan.
•Communicate directly with service providers, vendors, and maintenance contractors to schedule repairs, servicing, preventive maintenance, and other projects required to keep the company's physical assets running smoothly.
•Monitor usage of tools and equipment and ensure tools are readily available for assigned tasks.
•Monitor use of PPE and other resources; recommend replacements when due.
•Monitor safety and health compliance.
•Support technicians during their daily equipment inspections and take care of maintenance logs.
•Provide a wide variety of administrative assistance to managers, especially in the areas of managing work orders and tenant communication.
•Perform other duties as assigned.
Education / Experience Requirements
•High school diploma for general education degree (GED) required.
•2 years working in an ISO 13485 or IS 9001 certified environment required.
•2 years working with test and measurement experience required.
•2 years of calibration technician experience required.
•SAP or electronic gage tracking system experience preferred.
•Foundational understanding of manufacturing processes and occupational safety principles.
Specialized Skills / Other Requirements
•Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds.
•Ability to organize and prioritize in a highly dynamic production environment.
•Excellent communication skills.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel).
•Experience in leading and motivating teams, particularly in safety committees or emergency response groups.
