What to expect
As a Technical Consultant (m/f/d) at our company, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the inspection and assessment of software assets during financial transactions. 
Your responsibilities will include: 
  • Due Diligence Reports: Review, validate, and ensure the accurate and timely delivery of software due diligence reports.
  • Risk Assessments: Conduct and deliver software system risk assessments to support both sale-side and buy-side financial transactions.
  • Code Reviews: Perform software code reviews, third-party dependency audits, and overall assessment of system architecture, integration methods and practices.
  • Security Checkups: Assess baseline security posture and maturity level of cybersecurity practices integrated across software lifecycles.
  • Delivery Metrics: Survey delivery SOPs or WIs and various performance metrics to identify ways-of-working and overall readiness across software lifecycles.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with our internal Transaction, Value Creation and Ops teams to spot opportunities for improvement or added value.
  • Technical Communication: Collaboratively create internal and external materials that effectively communicate complex technical concepts, buzzwords and/or market trends in clear and compelling ways.
Your Profile
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • Education: Completed university degree in domains such as Technology Management, Business Engineering, Informatics, or Computer Science.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in either one of the following domains: Delivery Management, Software Solution Architecture, Quality Management, Systems Verification, Engineering, Product Leadership, Product Strategy, IT Management, Technology Consulting.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with technology market trends and highly curious about software system architectures. You are comfortable in discussing nerdy things like programming/scripting languages, architectural design patterns, databases, cloud, platforms and security best practices with colleagues and clients.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to express technical concepts clearly. You can quickly understand client requirements and technical specifications in a fast-paced environment. Speaking German of course, is a bonus!

Right now, your time will be split into two buckets. Approximately … 
:70% Technical Due Diligence: This includes risk assessments, audits, code reviews, and architecture reviews, ensuring the quality and value of our software assets aligns with the buyer’s strategy and expectations. 
:30% Value Creation This includes collaboratively working with other teams to create engaging blog posts, articles, or market trend reports to enhance Telescope’s market presence, thought leadership and wider community engagement.
