Administers general, regional anesthetics or Monitored Anesthesia Care during surgical and/or obstetrical procedures under the medical direction of an attending anesthesiologist. Evaluates situations and informs attending anesthesiologists of patient's condition; recommends anesthetics to be used; techniques of administration and supportive measures necessary for approval by attending physician as required by departmental guidelines. Checks anesthesia machine and monitoring equipment, supplies, medication and anesthesia gases. Monitors and records the patient's vial signs, records all medication administered to the patient and related reaction and responses.
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
Bachelors Degree : Nursing (Required)
Masters Degree : Nursing (Preferred)
Experience
2 Years experience in an academic medical center OR as a CRNA. (Preferred)
License/Certifications
RN-LIC - PA Registered Nurse License (Required)
CRNA - Cert Registered Nurse Anesth (Required)
BLS - Basic Life Support (Required)
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Required)
