Patient Care Assistant -Fulltime - 40hrs - 3p-11p and 11p-7a
Assists the Registered Nurse by performing patient care activities delegated to the unlicensed nursing support professional as well as additional specific functions for which he/she has been prepared. Observes and reports the functioning of equipment, the results of treatments, condition of dressings and any change in patient condition. Incorporates the concepts of the Hospital's Guest Relations Program into all aspects of patient care activities (i.e. confidentiality, responsiveness, caring). Accountable to the Nurse Manager or designee for all activities. Adheres to policies and procedures of the department.
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
CNA or MA certification or completion of at least one clinical rotation in an accredited Nursing program
Experience
1 Year experience in a patient care role
License/Certifications
CPR-AED - Heartsaver CPR AED
BLS - Basic Life Support through American Heart Association
CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant or
CMA - Certified Medical Assistant
40 hours/3:00p-11:30p and 11:00p-7:30a
