Temporal Technologies is Hiring a Remote Staff Product Manager - Monetization & Merchandising

The Monetization & Merchandising (”M&M”) role is a new role we are creating in our fast-growing organization. This position is a high-profile, business-critical role driving strategic and tactical initiatives to continually evolve and improve the pricing and packaging of our metered cloud service.
As the PM for “M&M,” you will:
Collaborate with the executive team to define and communicate the high-level pricing strategy, emphasizing its significance across the organization.
Drive the roadmap for the evolution of our SKUs to match the needs of various segments. Work closely with engineering as product coverage for the machinery that powers the metering and billing underlying our monetization systems.
Take point on pricing new features, ensuring coherence of the buying experience through collaboration with other product managers.
Serve as the primary liaison for triaging special requests from sales and addressing monetization issues raised by other teams.
Become our local expert on how we match the value we provide to the ways we sell our service. Engage with decision makers at our customers and internally, synthesizing and prioritizing the needs of the market and various departments, including engineering, sales, finance, marketing, and support.
What You'll Bring
Proven success as a product manager in online services with metered billing, with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience; 8 years preferred.
Experience in developing or significantly revising pricing/metering/billing machinery for online services. Strong candidates will have stories to tell about lessons learned through setting up pricing or pricing machinery.
Knowledge of how companies buy usage-based services. Strong candidates will be able to discuss the dynamics of different approaches to pricing online business services and how they might play out for different segments.
General familiarity with how software teams function. Our customers are all engineering organizations inside companies of all sizes across many industries. Strong candidates will have either had engineering orgs as a customer before or have other backgrounds around software delivery in a business.
Product fundamentals - communication, systems thinking, customer advocacy, coalition building, and a knack for shipping.
Compensation
The estimated pay range for this role is $190,000 - $240,000.
Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Temporal's equity plan.
