The licensed practical nurse's duties are performing tasks and responsibilities within the framework of case finding, health teaching, medication management, counseling and provision of supportive and restorative care under the direction of a registered professional nurse or licensed or otherwise legally authorized physician (New York Practice Act). This position will support services within the Ambulatory Care department.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS: A. EDUCATION REQUIRED: A graduate of an approval School of Licensed Practical
B. LICENSE(S) REQUIRED: Current license to practice as a Practical Nurse in theState of New York
C.EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED: Mental and physical health to meet the demands of the position.
D.Certifications Required: American Heart Association-Basic Life Support, Healthcare Provider BLS card in active status at all times.
