  • Full-time position in Hamilton, New Jersey
  • Open to a rotating week to week schedule between the hours of 7 : 30 am - 4pm and 8 am - 5 : 30 pm
  • $20 / hr (temp to perm)
  • 1-3 years’ experience
  • Immediate Start

Medical office is seeking a friendly and efficient receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for our patients, the receptionist will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming environment.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills and a professional demeanor.

Responsibilities :

  • Greet and welcome patients / visitors in a warm and friendly manner
  • Manage the reception area, ensuring it is clean and presentable at all times
  • Check-in patients : (collect copays, referrals, scan insurance cards, DL, scripts, schedule, reschedule, phone calls, etc)
  • Check-out patients : (schedule appointments, give patient instructions, med list print out, instruction print out, scripts for outside testing, etc)
  • Review records for accuracy
  • Maintains appropriate chart documentation.
  • Runs daily schedule, checks charts
  • Scanning
  • Identifies staffing issues and reports directly to manager and / or supervisor.
  • Reports equipment issues to the manager and / or supervisor
  • Reviews and stays up to date on position reference material which outlines all responsibilities.
  • Performs opening and / or closing duties.
  • Assist with other office support duties as directed by the manager and / or supervisor.

Requirements :

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven work experience as a receptionist or in a similar role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail
