The Role
This wonderful, privately owned hospital is seeking a small animal DVM to join their team, with the flexibility to accommodate a DVM wanting to expand an exotic caseload. The current team consists of 4 DVMs (2 full-time and 2 part-time) and is looking to expand with a 5th doctor. They have a great support team, maintaining at least a 3:1 Tech/Dr ratio, ensuring excellent patient care.
Appointments are blocked out for 30 minutes each, allowing for thorough examinations and consultations. The hospital is well-equipped with digital X-rays, dental X-rays, ultrasound, cold laser, surgical laser, therapy laser, 4 exam rooms (with plans to expand), IDEXX in-house labs, and an EMR system. This allows the team to provide comprehensive care using advanced technology.
The hospital is open to both full-time and part-time candidates, welcoming new graduates as well as experienced doctors. The hospital is not open on weekends, so the schedule consists of just 4 days during the week, totaling 34 hours per week. Additionally, the hospital is very flexible with doctors' passions and preferences, accommodating those who prefer not to do surgery as well as those wanting a heavy surgery caseload.
