Maintaining positive working relationships with clients, contract organizations, outside parties, staff from other social service providers, families, and other stakeholders is expected of agency employees. Staff employees must also act professionally, use sound judgment, have problem-solving abilities, and serve as liaisons to other agency programs.
Essential Responsibilities:
Physical Requirements: Over an eight-hour day, mobility and the capacity to bend and reach will be required as needed. Capable of lifting at least 25 pounds, standing or working for 6 to 8 hours per shift, working 2-3 hours per sitting session, and driving a corporate van for 1–4 hours per session. Must possess adequate auditory and visual acuity to assess and care for a client's needs. Also, must demonstrate fine motor skills and correct and legible writing for reports, daily correspondence, and oral or written presentations.
Persons with mental or physical disabilities are eligible as long as they can perform the essential functions of the job after reasonable accommodation is made to their known limitations. If the accommodation cannot be made because it would cause the employer undue hardship such persons may not be eligible.
Working Conditions:
Position is based in a number of different places throughout New Jersey. The incumbent must have access to dependable transportation. Depending on program needs, work hours may need to be flexible.
