What You Will Do
- Perform basic repairs, preventative maintenance, and upgrades on gasoline and diesel vehicles and equipment.
- Efficiently and accurately diagnose and provide recommendations on repairs.
- Maintain accurate vehicle records.
- Maintain shop equipment.
- Check parts stock, place relevant orders, and verify orders for accuracy upon receipt.
- Participate in industry-related training opportunities and read technical publications.
- Take ownership of the quality of work performed and the cleanliness of the workshop.
- Communicate within the team and field operations.
- Willingness to work from other locations and in the field where needed.
- Be a team player and contribute to the overall success of the organization's growing and diverse team.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Mechanical and electrical systems knowledge.
- Ability to operate vehicles, equipment, diagnostic tools, and repair equipment.
- Ability to work independently as well as efficiently within a team.
- Must have your tools (Tendit will supply specialized tools, as needed)
- Paving, street sweeping, and striping equipment is a plus.
- High school diploma or GED
- A current and valid driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 75 pounds.
- Attention to detail.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Good organizational skills.
- Bilingual is a plus.
