Summary
Maintenance Mechanic III is responsible for the maintenance, repairs and preventive maintenance of the Hospital buildings, equipment and physical plant. Education
MINIMUM EDUCATION: High School Graduate or equivalent
PREFERRED EDUCATION: Trade School in mechanical, electrical or air conditioning
Experience
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 5 years in a Hospital or 7 years as Maintenance Mechanic in a industrial setting.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 10 years hospital experience
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: EPA Refrigerant Recovery Certification. Training certificate in mechanical, electrical, air conditioning or equivalent experience of ten years.

Responsibilities
Performs routine maintenance and repairs on major equipment. Assist plumbers, HVAC Technicians, Refrigeration Technicians, and Stationary Engineers with major repairs and equipment replacement.
Qualifications
Education:
Required: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Preferred: Graduate of trade or vocational school in related field
Experience:
Required: 3 years experience working for a mechanical or general contractor, or an experience in a commercial or hospital service environment.
