Job Description
Summary
Under close supervision of a licensed nurse, the Certified Nursing Assistant / CNA provides basic and intermediate nursing care for assigned group of patients based on competence.
- General Nursing Units care for patients from age 18 years to maturity. Unit specific variation may apply
- Special Care Areas care for patients 18 years through adult with high-risk conditions
- Maternal Child Units : Labor and Delivery care includes patients who have a pregnancy related condition
- Nursery care includes care for the newborn until discharge
- Endoscopy Unit cares for patients 18 years and older
- Emergency Department provides care to patients of all ages
- Behavioral Health / Gero-Psych Unit provides care for patients 17 years and older requiring psychiatric care. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period.
Other related duties as assigned

Required :
- Possession of a current state or national nurse's aide certification or a certification as a phlebotomist, medical technician, patient care technician, medical assistant, EKG tech or in another related field
- BLS -Obtained through approved American Heart Association Training Center
