Job Description Summary The Staff Physical Therapy Assistant is a licensed practitioner who provides direct patient treatment services as delegated and supervised by the Physical Therapist. He/she carries out treatment program according to the plan of care in accordance with the facilities policies and procedures related to care and treatment of the patient; treats patients in order to produce effective outcomes; communicates and assists in resolving problems; demonstrates effective resource utilization that is critical to operational stability within the organization and participates in performance improvement and program growth. Qualifications Education Associate's Degree in Science or other education recognized by the State of Florida as qualification for Physical Therapy Assistant licensure Experience Experience desired, but not required Certifications/License/Registration Florida license as a Physical Therapy Assistant from the Agency of Health Care Administration's Division of Medical Quality Assurance
