Tennessee Tech University is Hiring an Assistant Director of Brand Communications Near Cookeville, TN

Create, maintain and curate a multi-faced library of branded content that aligns with university’s communications and marketing strategies, promoting a positive image, both internally and externally, of the university through the organization and creation written stories, content for a variety of publications, social media posts, campus features and other branded content opportunities as needed. Manage the implantation of the university’s social media strategy, the daily management of university social media accounts and build a robust presence on leading social media platforms with the goal of raising awareness of the university and connecting content to university marketing strategy. Provide training and support across campus on social media best practices and interface with individuals across the university with access to a social media account baring university branding. Oversee a team of student content creators and provide educated guidance on content approaches that best match the university brand. Routinely initiate and coordinate contact with campus departments to help to identify and promote university brand messages across platforms. Provide analysis of content initiatives and campaigns, troubleshooting and identifying areas of opportunity.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution. Two years related professional experience. Knowledge and experience managing brand social media accounts. Strong interpersonal skills along with the ability to interact with a diverse group of students, faculty and staff. Ability to interpret and provide accurate summaries of social media analytics. Experience managing a variety of content creation projects. Excellent oral and written communication. Knowledge of AP Style Guidelines. Excellent organization skills. Exceptional attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution in communication, marketing, journalism, or related field.
Work Hours
Typical hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Additional hours if/when needed.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary
Commensurate with education and experience.
