Tennessee Valley Oral Surgery-KNOXVILLE is Hiring a Dental Assistant Near Knoxville, TN

Registered Dental Assistant

We are growing again! TVOS-KNOXVILLE is looking for an outstanding, compassionate and energetic team member to join our growing family! We are passionate about providing the highest level of quality oral surgery care. We strive to create the best possible patient experience while focusing on exceptional patient care.

We are looking for an energetic, forward-thinking, detail oriented and progressive registered dental assistant to join our rapidly growing, oral surgery practice.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include assisting in a multi-surgeon fast-paced, surgical practice during consultation and surgery appointments by handing instruments and documenting procedure in software, taking preparing daily treatment plan letters for referring doctors.

  • Obtain Dental Pan and CT scans
  • Verifies the identity of patients, reason for visit & medical history
  • Performs pre-operative and post-operative assisting duties
  • Reports to the surgeon the nature of the visit
  • Monitors patient intraoperative status
  • Responsible for using surgical retractors, irrigation and suctioning equipment
  • Operates sterilization devices
  • Completes patient clinical narratives

Schedule:

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Licensed State of Tennessee dental assistant with radiology and nitrous certification
  • BLS certification required
  • One year of related experience preferred
  • DAANCE certification preferred but not required

Work Location: Primarily one location; potentially multi-locations
