Tenney Mountain Resort is Hiring a General Manager Near Plymouth, NH

Key Responsibilities:Leadership and Strategy:
  • Develop and execute the resort's strategic plan in alignment with corporate goals.
  • Provide visionary leadership to the resort team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and exceptional service.
  • Set and communicate clear performance objectives for all departments, ensuring accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Provide financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Produce exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a focus on mentorship and development.
  • Deliver excellent communication and interpersonal skills, to build positive relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Contribute to real estate development and project management.
  • Supply an in-depth knowledge of ski resort operations, mountain services, and guest service standards.
Operations Management:
  • Oversee day-to-day resort operations, including ski lifts, trails, accommodations, dining, retail, and other guest services.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Mountain Operations to ensure safe and efficient mountain operations, including grooming, snowmaking, and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Mountain Services to ensure an exceptional food and beverage experience, retail, events, special projects, lodge maintenance, and all related activities to maximize revenue and guest experience.
  • Collaborate with Director of Marketing to ensure key marketing messaging to create a valued brand message, drive traffic to the resort for all related activities, sponsoring relationships, key partnerships, community relations, and grow revenue year to year for the resort.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and environmental practices.
Revenue Generation:
  • Develop and implement revenue strategies to optimize profitability across all resort amenities and services.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to drive guest engagement, loyalty, and visitation.
  • Analyze financial data and market trends to make informed decisions that maximize revenue opportunities.
Guest Experience and Service:
  • Uphold the highest standard of guest service, ensuring memorable and exceptional experiences for all visitors.
  • Monitor guest feedback and implement improvements to enhance overall satisfaction and loyalty.
Real Estate Development:
  • Oversee real estate development initiatives, coordinating with project managers, architects, and contractors as directed by the resort owner.
  • Develop and execute plans for new construction, renovation, and expansion of resort facilities as directed by the resort owner.
Special Projects:
  • Manage and execute special projects that contribute to the growth and enhancement of the resort's offerings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to successfully implement initiatives such as event planning, sustainability efforts, and technological advancements.
Team Management:
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the Director of Mountain Operations and Director of Mountain Services, ensuring their respective departments achieve operational excellence.
  • Foster professional development and growth opportunities for direct reports and their teams.
Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Maintain strong relationships with local communities, government agencies, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Represent the resort at industry events, conferences, and meetings.
