We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Meat Department Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of our meat department. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality, freshness, and customer satisfaction with our meat products. As a department manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of butchers and meat clerks, ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation regulations, monitoring inventory levels, and implementing strategies to increase department sales.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all daily operations of the meat department, including ordering, inventory management, pricing, and merchandising
- Train and develop a team of butchers and meat clerks, ensuring they provide friendly and knowledgeable customer service
- Monitor product quality and ensure proper handling and storage of meat products, following safety and sanitation guidelines
- Collaborate with the store management team to develop and implement initiatives to drive department sales and meet financial targets
- Maintain accurate records of department sales, inventory levels, and waste, and analyze data to identify

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within a meat department or similar environment
- Strong knowledge of meat cuts, preparation, and safety guidelines
