Position OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and motivated Associate Attorney to join our client's growing personal injury law firm. This is an excellent entry-level position for recent law school graduates with a deep interest in personal injury law and a strong desire to make a difference in the lives of those who have been injured. As an Associate Attorney, you will work closely with experienced personal injury lawyers who are passionate about advocating for their clients. This position can be located in either the Beverly neighborhood or Loop offices.
Responsibilities
- Conduct client intake
- Draft, negotiate, and settle cases both pre-litigation and litigation
- Draft complaints and discovery
- Take and defend depositions
- Work with experts and doctors
- Participate in jury trials
- Recent law school graduate with a J.D. from an accredited law school
- Strong academic record
- Deep interest in personal injury law
- Ideally, previous experience or clerkship at a personal injury law firm
- Excellent research and analytical skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Team player with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and Adobe
- Comfortable learning and using the case management system, Smart Advocate
