Construction Estimator

Key Responsibilities:

• Assists in reviewing and interpreting contract documents to develop detailed cost estimates.
• Perform accurate quantity takeoffs and identify bid qualifications.
• Support the preparation of competitive proposals in response to solicitations.
• Develop relationships with subcontractors and suppliers during the pre-bid process.
• Participate in estimate reviews and presentations to department leads.
• Contribute to value engineering solutions and project estimates.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent experience.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and familiarity with Adobe, Bluebeam, or similar PDF software.
• Basic understanding of estimating software and bid distribution software is a plus.
• High attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Working Conditions:

• Primarily office-based with occasional site visits.
• Site visits may involve outdoor conditions, exposure to rugged terrain, and the use of specialized access equipment.

Physical Requirements:

• Limited physical demands including moving office materials and performing repetitive tasks such as typing and note-taking.
