Terra Veta, LLC is Hiring a Geospatial Analyst (Aeronautical) Near Fallon, IL

This position is in support of a Department of Defense program for the U.S. Government.

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen.

The Aeronautical Analyst will produce terminal procedures for military flights such as departure, arrival and approach charts using Bentley OpenCities Map (CAD software). Candidates should have familiarity with instrument flight, flight information publications, and must be able to understand aeronautical concepts.

Training is provided, but previous experience with CAD software, instrument flight rating, or prior air traffic control experience is a plus.

An ideal candidate is:

  • Comfortable learning/operating multiple software programs and an efficient/savvy computer user with strong typing and spelling skills with high attention to detail
  • Able to quickly process and identify changes/discrepancies in both textual and graphic information
  • Highly independent and willing to read/research specifications to solve problems on their own
  • Experienced in aviation or air traffic control, with knowledge of instrument flight and instrument charts
  • Innovative and always looking for the most efficient way to accomplish a task

While the typical schedule is 8 hours per day M-F, may be asked to work additional hours and weekends as required by the project schedule.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Experience:

  • GIS/relevant aeronautical: 1 year (Required)
  • Relevant education in lieu of experience

  • Remote work is available from the following states: California, Illinois (remote or in person), Louisiana, Missouri, Maine, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, or Tennessee.
