We have an excellent opportunity for a strongly motivated individual to help with local and regional compliance efforts in Iowa, western Illinois, and southwest Wisconsin, and assist with projects across the country. This position can be based out of any of Terracon’s larger offices in the region (Quad Cities, Cedar Rapids, or Des Moines). To be successful in this role you will need to be confident and possess a strong technical background with proven relationship and communication skills. You will manage projects, prepare reports and other deliverables following Terracon's high quality standards. You will also maintain existing and develop new client relationships, participate with and support a team of professionals across the country, and help with local and regional environmental compliance marketing efforts. The individual should have solid experience and regulatory knowledge in all or some of the areas listed below:
Air permitting (Title V and minor source)
Stormwater/SWPPP
RCRA/Hazardous waste
Compliance auditing
Oil Storage/SPCC plans
SARA Title III (Tier II/TRI) reporting
Industrial wastewater
Essential Roles And Responsibilities
Develop strong working relationships with clients
Evaluate problems and develop practical solutions that enable our clients to achieve and maintain compliance with environmental regulations
Prepare calculations, applications, plans, reports, proposals, and other deliverables
Manage projects to ensure quality and timeliness
Develop proposals in response to RFPs and client requests
Participate in growing and expanding compliance services
Support safety efforts to promote safety rules and guidelines
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or an environmental-related discipline.
5 years of experience in a full-time environmental role.
Demonstrated solid technical writing capability.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history
