The ideal candidate is experienced with the government Certification and Accreditation process and will use their knowledge and skills to help other engineers to ensure the highest levels of performance and ability of Type 1 systems.
Requirements for the Systems Engineering role:
· A Clearance is required: must have a TS/SCI w/ a FSP
· Must have experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF)
· Must at least be familiar with NSA High Assurance (might be referred to as Type 1) Certification process and be able to speak the key documentation required e.g., Security Evaluation Document (SED), Software/HDL Description Document (SHDD), Information Assurance Security Requirements Directive (IASRD) or Security Evaluation Requirements Document (SERD), Technical Security Requirements Document (TSRD) or Certification Data Requirements Description (CDRD), etc.
· Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) and/or Information System Security Engineering Professional (CISSP-ISSEP) a definite plus
Responsibilities:
· The candidate will support the planning and test-analysis of the DoD Certification/Accreditation Process (as well as other Government Certification and Accreditation (C&A) processes and provide product certification support.
· Security guidance in the development, facilitation and coordination of system engineering documentation such as: System Engineering Plans; Initial Capabilities Documents; Requirements Specifications; and Interface Control Documentation.
· Provide technical security support for the development/engineering, interfacing/integration and testing of components of complex hardware and software systems to include Requirements elicitation; Analysis and functional allocation; systems requirements reviews; concepts of operation and interface standards; system architectures.
· Assistance with operational views, technical standards views, and system and services views for related Cryptographic Core Modernization (CCM) embedment architectures using applicable US DoD standards.
Qualifications:
· Fourteen (14) years of System Engineering experience
· Bachelor’s degree in system engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
· Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
