Terre Haute Casino Resort is Hiring a Vice President and General Manager Near Terre Haute, IN

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other
duties may be assigned.
•Held accountable, to the highest degree, for the accuracy and thoroughness of property
records and reports.
•Establishes performance and profit objectives for short-term and long-term goals.
•Ensures the quality of management operations in all areas of the property.
•Lead the annual strategic planning process including the coordination of the annual
operating and capital budget.
•Challenge departmental management to maximize departmental performance while
minimizing costs.
•Establish and maintain the necessary internal controls, standard operating procedures, and
training materials.
•Ensures that all aspects of the operation are conducted in accordance with applicable laws
and regulations.
•Ensures a maximum level of customer service and satisfaction, as well as employee service
and satisfaction, throughout the property.

•Regularly reviews and evaluates departmental performance, working with departmental
leaders and others to take any necessary steps to resolve any unsatisfactory results or
conditions.
•Maintains appropriate qualified staffing levels by interviewing, selecting, training,
scheduling, evaluating, promoting, disciplining, and terminating, as needed.
•Enhances and/or develops, implements and enforces policies and procedures of the
organization, including the Company's Compliance Program, by way of systems that will
improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the property and corporation.
•Participates on state and federal legislative and regulatory matters. Maintains strong
relationships with regulatory and community organizations, promoting a positive company
image and solid working relations.
•Establishes relationships within the community to enhance our role as a business that
serves the community.
REQUIREMENTS:
•Bachelor's degree or ten to fifteen years of related experience.
•Must have previous General Manager level experience.
•Experience must include the management of multiple, complex business units.
•Excellent analytical, financial, problem solving, and strategic thinking skills.
•Strong demonstrated management and leadership skills including ability to lead a diverse
team.
•Ability to analyze, interpret, and summarize data.
•Excellent marketing acumen and thorough knowledge of gaming operations.
•Willingness and ability to pass suitability requirements of a gaming and /or racing licensing
body, including submission of detailed background and financial reviews.
•Must have experience in building and leading teams in a very dynamic environment.
•Detail oriented, professional demeanor, strong organization and project management skills.
•Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact effectively with senior /
executive management.
•Excellent verbal and written communication / presentation skills.
•Strong work ethic and ability to cultivate working relationships throughout the
organization.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in a business or related field required if not, prior gaming industry
experience in a highly regulated environment required. Previous General Manager
experience required.
LANGUAGE ABILITY
Ability to read and interpret documents such as policies, procedures, internal controls and
governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, correspondence and procedures. Ability
to effectively communicate information and respond to questions from managers, regulators
and the general public.
MATH ABILITY
Ability to accurately calculate figures and amounts and perform mathematical functions
according to business needs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to
interpret and follow through on a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram
or schedule form.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Must possess intermediate computer skills and have experience with Microsoft Office
products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook).
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES
Must be able to obtain and maintain an Indiana Gaming license.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will supervise the entire property and the executive team leading all
departments both gaming and non-gaming including both direct and indirect reporting
relationships.

When working in the office, the noise level is moderately quiet. When on the casino floor,
the noise level is loud and the employee will be exposed to cigarette smoke on the casino
floor.
