Tesla is Hiring a Sr. Manager, Display Hardware Engineering Near Palo Alto, CA
What To ExpectThe Displays team is looking for a Electronic System Design Engineer for the development and qualification of LCD/OLED Display module for Tesla vehicles infotainment system. This individual will be working on LCD/OLED display system development at the component, design and system level, serving as a focal point between the design studio, software team, the global supply management team, quality team, reliability team, Tesla factory, and the display suppliers, managing all activities necessary to deliver displays into vehicles from initial concept to production. What You'll Do
Manage the display/PCB/Chip suppliers as the primary technical contact window
Design and define the display/touch module electronics system driving board for new display projects, include block diagram, schematic and layout design
Debugging driving system failure and define root cause to make improvement revision
Lead an internal cross-functional team working with team members having Design, ME, Touch and other expertise
Perform the necessary display testing/ failure analysis and review results from the display vendors, module vendors, and cross-functional groups at Tesla to ensure the performance specifications are met
Identify all open engineering issues and drive supplier to closure in a timely fashion to support project needs
Ensure display deliverables are met for engineering builds and initial ramp
Address issues from initial ramp and field returns related to displaysWhat You'll Bring
An in-depth understanding of display measurement & performance evaluation, display technologies, display module construction, process development and display electronics systems
Strong analytical and critical thinking skill, excellent project management, communications and teamwork skills required
Familiar with PCB layout/schematic software, firmware coding, I2C, oscilloscope and SoC/SoM application, image quality life time compensation
