Position Summary

The role of a Sales Support Associate is to complete administrative tasks and duties associated with the day-to-day operation of the Seasonal Décor Team, as well as support the team’s growth initiatives by helping with market research, competitive shopping and store set analysis, and online/ social media reviews. This position will work closely with the Manager/ Director as well as support team to provide seamless communication between Customer, Account Managers, and our partners in Asia. This role will support category development, sales processes as well as assigned category sample and item logistics. This position will work both independently and collaboratively with our Business Development teams.

This role is the point of contact for buying teams and day to day operational issues thus requiring strong communication skills, follow-through, attention to detail, ability to multitask and prioritize, proactive thinking and ownership of work.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the position:

• Management of the day-to-day business communications and tasks.
• Communicate with cross functional business units.
• Manage sample preparation and review process.
• Track and manage project status and report on a weekly basis.
• Support sales team during the meetings and customer presentations
• Manage Bazaarvoice sample process and customer reviews and responses Help review quotations and other proposal documents for accuracy and be able to obtain additional information when necessary.
• Manage customer specific internal processes and systems.
• Sample, shipment and order execution and follow up.
• Help prepare and organize presentation materials for internal and external communication.
• Work with product team to build marketing assets for in store and .com product content including but not limited to item descriptions, dimensions, features and benefits, marketing copy, photography, digital content layout, SEO (Search Engine Optimization).
• Research product trends as well as customer and market trends to make category and item recommendations to drive growth.

Qualifications

Skills / Knowledge / Experience / Education needed to perform the job successfully:

• 2-5 years experience in Sales Support, Product Development and/ or Account Management support
• B.A., BS, any field or equivalent experience.
• Intermediate Excel, Word, PowerPoint skills
• Organized, resourceful and initiative-driven (self-starter).
• Ability to pull data, analyze information and make recommendations to management.
• Driven to grow and expand business knowledge and acumen.
• Exercise judgement to prioritize and communicate to meet and exceed project deadlines and commitments.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Preferred but not required:
  • Working knowledge of Walmart and associated terminology
  • Ability to navigate Retail Link/item 360.

Physical Demands:

• Extensive use of computer
• Load/unload samples
• Build/Assemble samples.
• Regular store visits to monitor and track the market. Take store photos of displays, items and pricing and share them with teams.
