Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Permitting Specialist toassist in growing Tetra Tech’s Texas environmental business. Candidate must be highly motivated and work well in a professional and team-oriented environment. Candidate must also have the ability to manage a heavy workload, travel as needed, possess excellent communication and organizational skills.Proficiency with MS Office applications is a requirement.
Your Role:
- Interacting with commercial/industrial clients to identify needs, develop, and process solutions.
- Preparation and submittal of water related discharge permit applications.
- Engagement in diverse client projects that may involve multi-media knowledge including Air, Water, Waste, Hazardous Material Management, or Emergency Response/Prevention.
- Development of proposals including scope of work and budgetary estimates.
- Preparation of permitting packages, provide technical support and agency correspondence through the permit submittal, and additional compliance support.
- Performing site evaluations, water quality evaluations, and plan development for Industrial clients.
- Interacting with State, Local, and Federal agencies to process permits and answer questions.
Qualifications:
- Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Environmental Engineering, or a related area.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in the environmental consulting industry or related experience.
- Work experience in wastewater, stormwater, and environmental compliance projects in Oil and Gas, Renewable, and other industrial clients.
- Applicant must possess excellent communication (both written and verbal) and organizational skills.
- Applicant must also be highly motivated, customer focused, and work well in a team environment.
- Applicant must be able to drive and pass a motor vehicle records check.
- A Pre-employment drug screening in compliance with state regulations is required.
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions.
