Tetra Tech Inc. Disaster Recovery (TDR) is currently seeking a Site Coordinator (Onsite) for a disaster recovery program for the state of IOWA. The successful candidate will provide crucial support to individuals and communities impacted by natural disasters. We work to ensure that those affected receive timely assistance, accurate information, and compassionate support.

We are seeking a dedicated Site Coordinator to join our team. The role is based in Spencer, Iowa. As a Site Coordinator, you will be responsible for traveling to the assigned location to identify and describe damages through photographs, and complete required forms. Identify possible mitigation measures and collect documentation. Coordinate with FEMA field personnel. Provide additional information upon request.

Requirements:

o Conduct On-Site Inspections to identify property damages caused by natural disasters such as floods, storms, and tornadoes.

o Record detailed notes and take photographs of damage for accurate reporting using inspection software and tools to document findings and comprehensive reports. Ensure all reports are submitted on time.

o Assess the severity of damages and determine the necessary repairs.

o Estimate costs for repairs and restoration based on the extent of the damages.

o Provide clear and compassionate communication with homeowners regarding the inspection process and findings.

o Offer guidance on the next steps of the repair and recovery process. Provide available resources at hand.

o Keep up to date with current building codes, safety regulations, and effective inspection techniques.

Additional Responsibilities:

o Document damage and input into the database.

o Coordinate and participate in case meetings.

o Follow procedures and maintain communication and focus.

o Maintain and track caseload and track in a management information system.

o Report to a Project Lead and gain some exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.

o Keep the Project Lead informed on issues, problems & resolutions.

o Superior customer service skill set, ability to listen, facilitate, and negotiate problems.

o Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.

o Always Work safely and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.

o Additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

o Bachelor's Degree preferred; however, the experience will be considered in place of the degree.

o Construction, mechanical, structural/civil, electrical, and architectural is preferred.

o Prior experience with FEMA preferred.

o Strong analytical skills.

o Strong organization skills required.

o Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
