Responsibilities: -Conducts experiments and technical procedures. Carries out research problems. -Assists with planning and supervising technical operations. -Makes complex chemical and physical analyses which, although they follow standard procedures and tests, may require the exercise of some ingenuity and improvisation. -Uses computer equipment for controlling equipment and compiling data. -Makes and records observations and measurements. -Writes and/or edits for publication of scientific materials requiring academic knowledge. -Researches and catalogs reference materials requiring an understanding of subject matter theory. -Orders scientific supplies and equipment. -Performs other duties as assigned. Required Education and Experience: -High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience. -Two years of related experience. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: -Knowledge of laboratory equipment, scientific apparatus, and computer equipment. -Ensure attention to detail. Able to multitask and work cooperatively with others. -Excellent verbal and written communication skills. -Significant travel required. All positions are security-sensitive.
