Texas A M AgriLife is Hiring a Maintenance Worker I Near Brownwood, TX
- Performs preventative maintenance, repairs and service work on machinery, equipment and fixtures.
- Performs skilled trade work including painting, carpentry, plumbing, plastering, cementing and electrical work. Performs electrical and acetylene welding, brazing and soldering.
- Moves heavy equipment and assists in special set-ups.
- Operates machinery such as drill press, sharpeners, table saws, chain saws, lawn mowers, edgers, weed eaters and other miscellaneous equipment.
- Repairs sidewalks, sewer lines, building slabs, streets and related installations.
- Assists in preparing floors and occasionally replaces broken or missing tile. Finishes and repairs furniture as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- One year of related experience.
- Excellent oral, written, and electronic communication skills.
- Ability to effectively use personal computer to communicate, prepare proposals to include cost information on spreadsheet as applicable, and provide reports of activities.
- Ability to effectively communicate with faculty students and staff.
- Ability to multi task and work cooperatively with others.
