What We WantThe IT Professional I (Apple Device Management Professional I), under general direction, and provides technical support of the Texas A&M University unified Apple device management environment that manages workstation endpoints across Texas A&M Main campus and TAMU Health campuses statewide. Assists in the management of technical baseline configuration profiles and policies delivered through the environment, assists IT admins with implementation of college or unit level configurations, investigates and resolves endpoint management service delivery issues. Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience and 4 months of student worker or customer service experience
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Must be able to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications
  • Excellent written communication, analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Experience managing devices in Jamf Pro or Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager
Responsibilities:
  • Resolution of Technical Problems - provides technical assistance in conducting research of endpoint technology problems and the formulation of recommended solutions.
  • Technical Support - Serves as a key team member for the Apple UEM team and participates in managing the enterprise endpoint management platform to troubleshoot technical support for IT partners and customers campus wide. Exhibits and conveys exceptional customer-centric service, patience, compassion, and attention to detail.
  • Workstation/Software Support - Assists the Apple UEM team in supporting software applications. Assists with the installation and maintenance of both critical and non-critical software. Troubleshoots and formulates solutions with the Apple UEM team to configuration system performance issues.
  • Engagement & Responsiveness - Consistently engages campus members in a professional and friendly manner. Promotes a culture of responsiveness and excellence towards the user experience.
  • Endpoint Security - Participates in the monitoring and maintenance of endpoint security to protect devices and data to meet Texas A&M University Security Controls.
  • Professional Development - Participates in 4 applicable IT training and professional development activities yearly, as approved by IT leadership.
