The Adam C. Sinn ’00 Department of Finance within Mays Business School offers several of these high impact courses which provide students the opportunity to participate to widen their perspective and learn specialties in their field. Those with great organizational skills will thrive in this role, working and prioritizing multiple tasks, as you work collaboratively with the Finance Department Leadership to plan, develop, and implement high-impact courses and programs (“Programs”). Working with stakeholders, your communication finesse will prove beneficial as you coordinate various programs such as admissions processes, plan travel and events, providing student support for our Finance Programs. Our graduates are well prepared to work in both private and public sectors. What you need to know Salary: $51,000-$63,000 depending on hire's education and experience. Position Detail: This position may require work outside of standard business hours to include nights or weekends. This position requires travel, including travel to New York City for 2 weeks every spring with the Aggies on Wall Street Program and may also join on a 2-week internal student trip during the Fall or Spring. Essential Duties/Tasks High Impact Courses & Program Coordination - Plans and ensures that initiatives related to high-impact courses and programs are implemented to achieve Finance department goals. Assists in setting program standards and objectives and assists in evaluating existing programs against these benchmarks. Coordinates operational aspects of programs, including equipment, staff, and budget management. Oversees daily fiscal and purchasing activities, tracks expenses, and submits POs. Develops and manages programs timelines; identifies issues and proactively recommends improvements. Coordinates scholarship committee meetings, serves on applicable committees, prepares scholarship award packets, and notifies students and donors. Serves as the initial point of contact for High-Impact Courses and Programs within the Department of Finance. Coordinates program information distribution to ensure clear and consistent communication. Maintains, and updates program records and databases. Compiles and assists in analyzing program specific statistics for reports. Develops and maintains relationships with stakeholders. Supervises student workers. Event Planning and Travel - Plans and coordinates special training and events, such as student enrichment seminars and industry-related experiences. Manages logistical arrangements for on- and off-campus events, including employer/student interactions. Coordinates facilities and other resources necessary for program-specific courses and events, including contracts. Assists in preparation and monitoring of budgets for events. Arranges travel and other logistics for student and staff participation in program activities, including a two-week student trip to New York City. Accompanies students and faculty on a two-week trip to New York City each spring. May be asked to join other student travel opportunities. May collaborate with others to develop and update materials and training information. Recruiting and Admissions - Oversees the admissions process for assigned High-Impact courses and programs, coordinating with appropriate departmental faculty and staff. Participates in student selection, maintains a database of prospective applications, and tracks admissions statistics. Manages onboarding and orientation for new students, ensuring retention and smooth transitions. Assists with application reviews and processing for high-impact courses. Maintains prospective student databases and prepares reports on recruitment metrics. Implements and conducts recruitment and outreach strategies including events, media/web programs, and outreach campaigns. Coordinates communications and marketing for program and course offerings. Student Support and Advising - Acts as a liaison with the department Assistant Director of Academic Services regarding course enrollment and is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of registration attribute data, course sequencing, and faculty assignments. Identify campus and external resources to support student networking, job search techniques, and other soft skills. Supports students in accessing resources and services, ensuring a positive and supportive environment. Performs other duties as required. Qualifications Required Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Four years of program coordination, event planning, or closely related experience. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Demonstrate strong, interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills. Ability to build and develop relationships. Preferred Qualifications: A Class “C” driver’s license or the ability to obtain within 30 days of employment. Experience working in higher education.
