Duties

- Review and verify accuracy of billing and coding

- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies

- Follow up on unpaid claims

- Resolve billing discrepancies

- Maintain patient billing records

- Utilize knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10, DRG, ICD-9 codes for accurate billing

- Collaborate with medical staff for proper documentation

Skills

- Proficiency in medical billing, coding, and collections

- Strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures

- Knowledge of ICD-10, ICD-9 coding systems

- Familiarity with medical office operations

- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
