Job Summary
We are searching for a full-time LVN for our Oncology Team - someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will provide quality basic nursing care. Assist the RN/Licensed Independent Practitioner in collecting data, planning, educating, implementing, and evaluating age-appropriate care in a manner that incorporates family centered principles and cost-effective care.

Responsibilities
* Assist in the collection of patient/family data which includes bio-physical, psychosocial, developmental (age appropriate), cultural, spiritual, and environmental information
* Document the patient/family data to include information as identified in the clinic profile
* Accurately collect and document observations and interventions (vital signs, height/weight, neurological checks, pain, etc
* Assist with planning patient care that involves the patient/family
* Provide high-quality, cost-effective patient care in collaboration with the LIP and in conjunction with the patient/family
* Assist and reinforce education of the patient/family
* Demonstrate commitment to team, flexibility, professional, interpersonal, communication, critical thinking, and customer service skills
* Accountable for managing time and resources in a cost-effective manner
* Assist in the management of clinic flow
Qualifications
* Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including any booster dose(s) of the COVID-19 vaccine recommended by the Centers for Disease Control when eligible, is required for all employees at Texas Children's, unless approved for a medical or religious exemption.
* Required diploma in Nursing from an accredited School of Vocational Nursing Required
* Required LVN - Lic-Licensed Vocational Nurses for the State of Texas Required
* Preferred BLS - Cert-Basic Life Support American Heart Association
