Texas Children's Hospital is Hiring a Research Nurse - Retrovirology HIV Clinic Near Houston, TX

Job Description
We are searching for a Research Nurse - Retrovirology HIV Clinic - someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will coordinate, direct, and implement management outcome research projects in the various clinical and non-clinical institutions of Texas Children's Hospital.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Develops the research data collection tools upon the organization of each new project.
  • Organizes research data collection tools as designated by specific protocol guidelines and according to Director's requirements for the project as documented by research order sheets, quality, frequency, and review of materials.
  • Develops case report forms or tracking forms for institutional protocols (with data manager).
  • Completes case-report forms and performs quality assurance checks on all the data (with the data manager).
  • Creates surveys specific for parents, MD's, nurses, anesthesia, etc., according to the needs of the project.
  • Assists with planning and development of new protocols, including developing budgets.
  • Validates the research data collection tools.
  • Implements the research data collection tools.
  • Provides support to the leadership team as needed.
  • As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace, all successful candidates will be required to undergo respiratory fit testing in compliance with occupational health and safety standards.
Skills & Requirements
Required bachelor's degree in nursing or associate degree in nursing with acceptance or current enrollment in a BSN program and signed agreement or an associate degree in a related field accepted by the Texas Board of Nursing for the purposes of obtaining and maintaining an RN license, or technical diploma in nursing with acceptance or current enrollment in a BSN program and signed agreement or must be currently enrolled in a nursing bridge program working toward an MSN. Verified BSN-equivalency or a signed agreement is required.
Required RN - Lic-Registered Nurses Texas Board of Nursing or Nursing Licensure Compact
1 year experience as an RN
