Texas Children's Hospital is Hiring a Transport Fleet Coordinator Near Houston, TX

Job Summary

We are searching for a Transport Fleet Coordinator-- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, the transport fleet coordinator has 24 hr accountability for coordinating all maintenance and repairs of ambulances. Ensures all ambulances in service are safe and ready to transport patients. Provides high quality patient care and customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Provide patient care through policies, protocols and guidelines delegated by the RN or RRT within the EMT scope of practice
  • Provides high quality patient care and customer service
  • Obtain and document vital signs and physiological values using appropriate monitors. Respond appropriately to alarms and notify the RN of abnormal findings
  • Maintains confidentiality concerning patient/family issues and demonstrates sensitivity to information, ensuring privacy by understanding HIPPA laws as it pertains to health information
  • Ensures timely response to campus emergencies by rapid/accurate deployment of the code response team in the Transport Center 

Qualifications

Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 is required for all employees at Texas Children’s, unless approved for a medical or religious exemption. 

  • BLS - Cert-Basic Life Support American Heart Association required
  • EMT - Emergency Medical Tech Texas Department of State Health Services required or
  • EMT-B - Emergency Medical Tech-Basic Texas Department of State Health Services required or
  • EMT-I - Emergency Medical Tech-Interm Texas Department of State Health Services required or
  • EMT-A - Advanced EMT Texas Department of State Health Services required or
  • EMT-P - Emergency Medical Tech-Parame Texas Department of State Health Services required or
  • LIC PAR - Lic-Paramedic Texas Department of State Health Services required 
  • 3 years EMT or Paramedic Experience
