Texas Christian Preschools is seeking a daycare facility floater who can support the center in smooth operations across various job functions. Your role floats where the need is within the childcare facility.This role is beneficial for someone who is new to childcare and would like to learn and grow in the industry, or, for someone who likes the excitement of various assignments throughout the day.

Role Responsibilities:

The floater at Texas Christian wills be trained on how to support the center director in the following functions:

• Stepping into the classroom when needed for a limited amount of time.
• Partner with and learn from the teachers in your classrooms to understand how to set up learning environment, provide classroom management, communicate and connect with children, understand ages, stages and milestones, curriculum, and communicate with parents in person and via our app.
• Ensuring the cleanliness and presentation of the physical facility entrances, hallways, bathrooms and shared spaces by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, disinfecting and sanitizing.
• Maintaining and Stocking restroom supplies such as soap, paper towel and paper toilet dispensers, and emptying shared trash cans as needed.
• Support the learning environment by placing vibrant bulletin boards on the shared space walls and entrances
• Greeting visitors and directing them to appropriate classrooms and answering questions they may have.
• At times answering phones
• Support the kitchen in a limited capacity by prepping breakfast, prepping or passing out meals.
• On occasion when the cook is scheduled off step into the kitchen to prep, cook and pass out lunch. The center will provide you with training and food handler’s certification.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/ GED required
• Must meet state specific guidelines for the role
• Will provide CPR/ First Aid
• Will provide food handler's certification
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check state and federal

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $8.00 - $9.00 per hour
