Job Summary (On-site Position)Responsible for leading the learning and skills development strategies of the organization. Will also manage the implementation of various training initiatives and measure the impact for both the Bank and Insurance Company. The Training and Development Manager is also responsible for ensuring employee growth and development in the company by identifying training needs, delivering training sessions, and upskilling the workforce, and incorporating innovative approaches and technologies to maximize learning outcomes. Work closely with various department heads to identify skills gaps and develop training programs to address them.
Responsibilities and Duties: Other duties may be assigned.
  • Ensure strategic alignment of the training department and business goals.
  • Identify future training needs and create curriculums to facilitate the training.
  • Plan, implement, and develop new training and staff development programs or modify and improve existing ones, using knowledge of the effectiveness of methods such as classroom training, virtual training, webinars, on-the-job training, meetings and workshops.
  • Evaluate individual and organizational performance to ensure training is meeting business needs and improving performance.
  • Recommend, select and manage resources, including working with managers, employees, SMEs, and training vendors to develop and deliver training.
  • Prepare and develop user guides, visual aids, manuals, and FAQs to be used in conjunction with training needs.
  • Optimize training processes for efficiency.
  • Responsible for supervising the day-to-day training functions and mentoring the Training Specialist(s).
Job Skills And Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field required or equivalent work experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
  • Proven track record of designing and delivering successful training programs.
  • Strong leadership presence and relationship building skills required and demonstrated ability to influence and interact effectively with all levels in the organization.
  • Ability to prioritize initiatives based on the evolving needs of the organization, making consistently strategic recommendations to leadership.
  • Diversity, Equity and Inclusion development and training, a plus.
  • Experience with modern and traditional training methods.
  • Knowledge of learning and development best practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, the ability to quickly adapt to other databases and systems.
  • Must be able to travel to the extent as necessary.
  • Physical Requirements; must be able to stand, sit, and talk for extended periods of time. Light physical effort under 25 pounds. EOE/Disability/Veteran
