•Physical Therapy department

• Work hours: PRN: On an as needed basis, coverage between Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM, with some weekends and holidays.

Here's What You Need
•Bachelor's degree completion of a Physical Therapist program required.
•No experience needed, New grads are welcome!
•PT - Physical Therapist Texas - Physical Therapy License Upon Hire Required
•BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required
•Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
•Problem-solving ability, Ability to teach others and Time management skills.
•Good interpersonal and customer service skills, Basic leadership skills
Staff Certifications:

• Geriatric Clinical Specialists (ABPTS)
• Orthopedic Clinical Specialists (ABPTS)
• Wound Management Clinical Specialist (ABPTS)
• Certified lymphedema therapists
• Certified hand therapists

What You Will Do
•Performs age-appropriate patient assessment and establishes plan of care.
•Performs treatment procedures/techniques that are within the scope of the professional license.
•Educates patient and family through instruction, demonstration, and/or appropriate handouts in treatment plan, safety issues, home programs/self-management and assistive equipment.
•Initiates therapy discharge planning in collaboration with care team and patient based on prognosis and expected discharge disposition.
•Attends and/or leads hospital, department, and community meetings / educational in-services.
•Strong commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration
