Registered Nurse (RN) Lactation Consultant
Texas Health Frisco is seeking an experience Lactation Consultant to join our tight-knit team.

Work hours: Full Time, 40 Hours; 8 hours, 5 days a week with rotating days, including weekends and holidays

Here's What You Need
•Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program
•BSN preferred
•One-year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program.
•Lactation Consultant experience preferred
•RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required
•BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly
•NRP - Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days required
•IBCLC - Lactation Consultant certification within 12 months required
What You Will Do
Function as expert resource on breastfeeding issues for patients, families, community, staff and physicians
•Serve as clinical expert for lactation issues based on evidence
•Produce documentation that initiates, follow and revise patient's plan of care
•Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to improve care processes and promote continuity of care
•Review patient medications for potential complications associated with breastfeeding
•Assess outpatients for symptoms of jaundice and breastfeeding problems
•Participate in breast pump rental and retail sales within the Breastfeeding Resource Center
