In this role, you'll guide assessment of AI risks/bias, monitor compliance, champion data literacy through policy and training, and continuously enhance governance controls to focus innovation. Responsibilities & Qualifications What You’ll Do: Establish and lead the strategy and governance for responsible/ethical AI systems, data quality standards, metadata frameworks, and data security policies in alignment with legal/regulatory requirements. Lead a data governance council to identify data needs, evaluate methodology, set policies, and promote common data definitions and quality standards across the organization. Define, govern, and educate teams on processes for securing, maintaining, manipulating, sharing, and purging data assets and AI systems to promote responsible data usage and AI ethics. Resolve issues related to data ownership, systems of record, and multiple sources of truth through collaborative alignment. Implement controls and reviews to ensure adherence to internal governance, legal, regulatory, privacy and ethical AI standards. Establish and oversee remediation of data quality issues and policy violations, ensure security controls follow standards. Promote data literacy and a culture of responsible innovation through policy rollout, training programs, progress oversight, and reporting. Counsel business domain owners on data-related decision-making and help align priorities across lines of business. Manage department operations by establishing strategies and objectives, contributing to divisional goals and budgets, advising on operational and financial matters, and implementing customer service plans within the division. Support people operations by recruiting, retaining, and mentoring employees. Set performance expectations by providing continuous feedback. What You’ll Bring: A bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, or experience. At least seven years of progressive experience in data management and data governance framework, with at least two years of experience in a supervisory position. Equivalent education, training, or experience will be considered.
